American Ambassador

The American ambassador held a party at his house for Christmas. We made cookies, ate some stuff and visited Santa! We all got presents, I got a band thingy to make bracelets with, Audrey got a jump-rope, Guy got a rubeix-cube! We where one of the most well-dressed family's. My favorite part was making cookies, because you could decorate them with any thing you wanted! There were different shapes and sizes of cookies!!!!!!! I liked the stars the best.

A no-name poem (a poem without a name yet)

Here is the poem (this is not the name)

Christmas is my favorite time

So I am going to make this rhyme

Trees are decked with lovely signs

Of memories and scents of pine.

I wish my family was here to party

But they're in Croatia traveling hardy

Having the most amazing journey

A once in a lifetime live and learn-y.

I wish you all a Christmas Merry

And now I have to catch my ferry!

Santa's lost boot

Santa lost his boot
It went through the shoot
Santa was concerning
That the fire was burning
All the kids where good
The way they should
He had to drop some things
Like a doll with wings
The presents were wrapped
As the children napped
The house was quiet
There was no kid named Wyatt
Climbing back up the chimney
No more presents not any
Then he jumped on the sleigh
Then he went a way
Leaving his boot behind
He did not mind
Riding out into the night
Rodolph was his only light

 When Christmas Comes

When Christmas comes
The snow blows hard
I feel my mothers guard
Santa comes down the chimney
presents he drops many
A bite of chocolate
A sip of milk
it tasted like silk
When Christmas comes.

Labin the Mining Town.

The mining shaft was very dark and we could only see by the lights. There was one time in the mining shaft were there is no light because it burned out so my dad had to use his palm light and others used cell phones.
It seamed like there was rail road tracks on the bottom of the picture. It was actually rail tracks for the cars to move the oar. Are shoes got very dirty and we wanted to clean our shoes because in between the rail tracks  there was sand and dirt. We also had to duck sometimes because it got so small. The other thing is that we had to where helmet so that we would not get hurt when we bonked our heads.

The museum we went to also had a lot of pottery. The pots are used for storing olive oil, wine and more. This pottery is called amphora. Amphora is a type of ceramic vase. Ancient Greeks and Romans used them for transporting many things.
Some Mediterranean people still use amphora's. The amphora can be painted.

Town of Rovinj

The town of Rovinj gets very crowded in the summer. In the town of Rovinj, there is an arch with a Turkish head on one side and a Venetian head on the other side. The one on the top is the Turkish head and the other one is the Venetian. A lot of people like to fish in that area, in fact, I bet most of the people are fisherman.

There is a lot of fisherman in the town of Rovinj. I do not think there is any room to swim. It is a egg shaped island so boats can park around it.

There is even a boat here. It is a very old boat on display in front of the museum. It is a  flat bottom boat used by fisherman, it is very old. In the corner there is a police car and it parked there because the road was too narrow to drive through.
