Labin the Mining Town.

The mining shaft was very dark and we could only see by the lights. There was one time in the mining shaft were there is no light because it burned out so my dad had to use his palm light and others used cell phones.
It seamed like there was rail road tracks on the bottom of the picture. It was actually rail tracks for the cars to move the oar. Are shoes got very dirty and we wanted to clean our shoes because in between the rail tracks  there was sand and dirt. We also had to duck sometimes because it got so small. The other thing is that we had to where helmet so that we would not get hurt when we bonked our heads.

The museum we went to also had a lot of pottery. The pots are used for storing olive oil, wine and more. This pottery is called amphora. Amphora is a type of ceramic vase. Ancient Greeks and Romans used them for transporting many things.
Some Mediterranean people still use amphora's. The amphora can be painted.

  1. Thanks for sharing the Amphora. Makes me wonder how they use to stand up (with that pointy bottom)

  2. I agree with Mr. Brown...I would love to know how they used these, with a bottom you could not set them down on! A sling maybe, between two people? Curious...
